Friends of New World Symphony hosted Symphony After Hours: Holiday Edition at The National Hotel. Designed by Roy France, one of the period’s foremost architects, National Hotel was one of the grandest luxury hotels on Miami Beach when it opened in 1940. In 1997, new owners and management restored and reopened the hotel, which today stands as an Art Deco treasure in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco Historical District. Today National Hotel Miami Beach epitomizes the mood and décor of the 1940’s, redefined with a modern panache.
Friends of New World Symphony engages Miami’s cultural community, inviting young music lovers and philanthropists to make a significant difference in the future of Miami. With a combination of innovative NWS concerts and chic social events, NWS Friends offers its members opportunities to channel their passion for music, while cultivating friendships and professional contacts. The program builds a strong foundation of leaders and ambassadors who champion NWS’ mission through education and community efforts while increasing its pipeline of donors and corporate partners.
