In 2015 while going through difficult times in life, Angeles was diagnosed with cancer. The frightful news came a few days before her birthday. #IwillFightInStyle pledge appeared on Angeles’ Instagram account long before she spoke openly about having a “Big C.”

Angeles recorded every single one of the chemotherapy sessions she visited and put in words the pain and frustration she was going through. “Being me isn’t easy,” she wrote, “but I try to communicate that I can win, some days in silence, some days with a laugh, some days with one word…You must keep going.”

With all the glamour, style and humor Angeles shared while fighting cancer, she never stopped being genuine: “Feeling really bad today, I’m counting the days till all of this is over.”
Please, women, check yourself all the time, touch yourself, see a doctor if you found something…don’t be like me, don’t go through this, it is so painful…My body is feeling every pain at every second and I don’t want you to go through this. So please, check yourself and take care of your body!@angelesalmuna April 15, 2016
